Excellent news! The Household Support Fund has offered so many families across Manchester a vital lifeline during this cost of living crisis. It's important this funding remains available to councils to provide help to the most vulnerable in our communities.

The last Tory Government failed to tackle the rife Islamophobia within its own party, which has given cover to the racist abuse of Muslims in wider society. I am pleased that my friend @angelarayner is prepared to do the vital work needed to confront Islamophobia across the UK.

I’m pleased the Foreign Secretary has taken this important first step. Ultimately, the only thing that will stop Palestinian civilians being killed is an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, as the Labour Government has been calling for. This must remain our utmost priority.

Fly-tipping has pernicious impacts on the environment, economy and public health. The Labour Government will restore our communities, and I’m pleased this includes a national strategy to tackle fly-tipping.
