Happy #IPD2024 !! Today I am privilidged to be spending time with Wrexham University Paramedic students talking about my career journey with North West Ambulance Service & College of Paramedics to celebrate Paramedics Day - be proud of our wonderful profession and all the people in & around it !!

Time for the out of office, planes, trains and automobiles…. Back to work on the 5th, it’ll be personal tweets till then !! Hope you are all enjoying summer!!

Our girls team did us proud tonight, playing brilliantly in their first ever proper match. Thanks to Fleetwood Hesketh CC Fleetwood Hesketh Foxes 🦊 for the invite. Training continues on Fridays at the Rookery for anyone keen to give it a try.

(1/3) North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) is responding to a major incident following a call at 11:48am to Hart Street in Southport following reports of multiple stabbings.

Thank you for those who have reached out to check my families welfare as we live near this incident. We’re all ok thankfully but my wishes go to those who aren’t, and those who have to deal with it all.

Everyone at the College of Paramedics is devastated by the news of the dreadful attacks in Liverpool yesterday. We know that all ambulance staff and other emergency responders involved will be forever changed as a consequence of dealing with such an horrific incident. (1/3)

We send our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those affected by the attack and pray for a speedy recovery for those still being treated by our EM colleagues and hospital teams. (2/3)

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁮󠁩󠁲󠁿 Yesterday, Tracy Nicholls and Mandy Powell met with Mike Nesbitt, Minister for Health, Northern Ireland to discuss Paramedics in Northern Ireland. The meeting was part of our policy engagement work. Thank you to everyone who turned up to share their experiences.

Earlier today, we had our Paramedic Council and the Student Council meeting College of Paramedics. It was truly a productive meeting with these great minds. We collaborated to brainstorm innovative ways to enhance our members' experiences and advance the Paramedic Profession.
