A great program that helps our rural hospitals recruit and retain nurses. I was glad to support our government’s 2024 provincial budget, which made the Clinical Extern program permanent! Ensuring our rural communities have access to healthcare locally.

The Volunteers of SGH concluded their Christmas in July Raffle, one of many fundraising initiatives. They have surpassed their annual goal of $85,000, raising $12,404.44 from this event alone. Thanks to those who participated. These funds will go toward life-saving equipment.

My thoughts are with the victims of this horrendous attack and their families and loved ones. I also want to acknowledge the Stratford Police Service and Perth County Paramedic Services Perth County Paramedics CUPE 4514 for their response to this terrible crime.

The HPHA has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the Inpatient Unit at its Clinton Public Hospital site. The unit is now closed to admissions until further notice and family/caregiver presence on the unit has been modified. More information is available at hpha.ca
