I am back home after getting up at 2:15AM for part of our race day coverage. We just had our first thunderclap in North Salem. We are 38 miles west of IMS. IMS now asking people to seek shelter in their vehicles getting ready for rain & lightning to hit Speedway in about an hour.

Police just updated us:

A teenager was shot inside this gas station.
They believe the boy was targeted.

BREAKING: we just arrived on scene of a shooting at 2900 E 10th St.  The victim is in critical condition. More when we get it at FOX59 News

A boy shot & killed in Lawrence around 8:40PM in the 4600 block of Birmingham Drive.

“It’s very tragic and we keep seeing it more and more often that a lot of this stuff around the city in general, it’s been a lot of juveniles, and it is a shame.”

UPDATE from IMPD – After examination at the hospital, it was determined the infant, who had injuries was not actually shot.

NEW: 1 person killed & 2 others including a baby injured during a shooting on the east side. IMPD called out to shots fired at 12th & Chester at 10PM. The baby has a graze wound. A man died & a young woman or teenager is stable. No suspect is in custody. FOX59 News

Traffic on I 74 eastbound at IN 3 near Greensburg is expected to be shut down for six hours! People out of their vehicles on the interstate. There was a reported vehicle fire. We reached out to law-enforcement who told us to call back during regular business hours. 🫨🤔

PENDLETON: a fatal crash involving a semi on I69 closed the highway at 5:30AM. This is exit 214 to Lapel & Fortville. All southbound lanes of I-69 are closed, and traffic is being diverted onto State Road 38. Closure is expected to last until at least 9:30. FOX59 News for updates.
