IT’S A BIRD! 🪶 IT’S A PLANE! ✈️ No! Well, it is a bird. A red-legged seriema, Chopstix! Seriemas are typically solitary birds, but they can make extremely loud vocalizations to attract a mate during their breeding season. This can be both alarming & exciting for staff & guests!

🐻CROCKETT CLAWS🐻 Crockett being an absolute ham & showing off his impressive front claws! Grizzly bears can grow front claws between 2-4 inches long, which come in handy when digging for food, making their den, or grabbing their toe beans! 🐾

Meet Ben and PJ! 🐾 Few months back, we received 2 male black bear cubs from AZGFD! They come to us as rescues from the Mingus Mountain area after being orphaned. Ben & PJ received their names to honor close friends & family members of Bearizona staff that have passed away (1/2)

Ben & PJ can be viewed in our rescue exhibit in the walk-thru! Until they warm up to their new surroundings, they have access to their lockdown during the day. However, I have heard from their keepers that they are loving their new exhibit, which you can see in this post! (2/2)
