New study led by Jamie McKaughan shows leopards persist well in mixed use areas of South Africa, with densities ~2.2 (1.1 - 4.2) per 100 sq. km. Lethal control has a big impact though; alternatives are needed. Read it: nature.com/articles/s4159… #ecology #conservation #secr #bigcats
