The Price Medal for #Geophysics has been awarded to Professor Christopher Davies of University of Leeds. This recognises investigations of outstanding merit into the formation and composition of the Earth and/or planets. Well done Chris Davies! #RASawards

The Fowler Award for #Geophysics, meanwhile, has been awarded to Dr Christopher Smith of HNC. It recognises individuals who have made a particularly noteworthy contribution to geophysics within 10 years of completing their PhD. Congratulations Dr Smith! #RASawards

The Service Award for #Geophysics, meanwhile, goes to Professor Ian McCrea of the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. He has been recognised for his invaluable service to the UK and international space weather research community. Congratulations Professor McCrea! #RASawards
