Banning abortion makes it riskier to be pregnant and give birth. It makes it harder for doctors to care for patients. It puts health and lives at risk. And, in Iowa and across the country, it undermines the fundamental right of people to determine their own lives and futures.

I'll just say this. Back when we were shlepping to Hill offices to share our later abortion story and ask for support against viability bans, there was one single Senate office that had an actual reproductive rights lawyer on staff. And that Senator was Kamala Harris.

At a critical time for democracy, Joe Biden has stood on the side of reproductive rights and been a champion for women. I’m in awe of his commitment to public service and our country's highest ideals. Looking forward to working alongside him to elect Kamala Harris as president!
