Just learned that the Shinkansen doesn’t pass through Saga City because Saga strongly opposed it. It was concerned that tourists wouldn’t stop there if a Shinkansen line was built, and it’s very expensive 😧. I’m going to Saga, though, and I’d appreciate a Shinkansen.🫢
