And we're off! The joint CDT conference has begun, with our very own Jonathan Clayden Clayden Group giving us an introduction to the conference and CDT's! #EPSRC #CDT #TECS
Really pleased to have won the Sygnature Discovery Industry Prize for my Final Year Talk! I really enjoyed showcasing some exciting results and I’m looking forward to building upon these in my final few months in the lab! Clayden Group
And we’re underway! The TECS Summer Conference 2024 begins with Jonathan Clayden Clayden Group opening the conference and giving an intro to the CDT. #TECS #CDT #EPSRC
Willis Research Group Continuing our 1st year talks, we have Rosa Altarelli discussing her project with Beatrice Collins and Clayden Group. Rosa is aiming to use cyclic deracemization to isolate both enantiomers of chiral products using the same biocatalyst #TECS #CDT #EPSRC
The Russell Group And finally in Session II is William Terry-Wright from Clayden Group , illuminating our Tuesday morning with photochemical ring expansions to azepines 💡🔦☀️ I was so entranced i forgot to take a picture of wills colourful slides!
And we reach the final session of the day with two speakers. First is Marc who is working on redox-driven molecular motors in Clayden Group, some really interesting discussion on deracemisation!
Very nice to be back in Bristol for the CDT Summer Conference. A lot of great science presented by very talented PhD students ! Congratulations to Jonathan Clayden, Varinder Aggarwal 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦 and TECS and Bristol ChemSynth CDTs
To round off my PhD, really pleased to have won the judges prize for best poster for my CDT cohort! I utilised UV active paint on my poster to give it a fun twist TECS and Bristol ChemSynth CDTs #chemistry #photochemistry
Interested in the construction of vinylic C-C bonds without the need for transition metal catalysis? Take a look at this work by Branca where a urea linkage tethering two alkenes leads to diene formation by an intramolecular SNV reaction. …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ch…
Congratulations, Michael Howlett!
TECS and Bristol ChemSynth CDTs and Clayden Group student and one of my great friends and housemate Olivia is on Uni Challenge later representing Bristol! Really excited, give it a watch
