Check out our new preprint! A study led by Matei Banu, PGY7 Columbia Neurosurgery. We find that astrocytic-like quiescent #glioma cells are driven by distinct metabolic programs, and this treatment-resistant glioma subpop can be effectively targeted via #ferroptosis in human GBM tissue.
Really happy to share our new paper published in Nature Communications, an amazing collaboration with Brent Stockwell lab and others, demonstrating that cysteine/methionine deprivation can sensitize glioma cells to a form of cell death called ferroptosis nature.com/articles/s4146…
