The Weizenbaum-Institut has featured all the contributions, including our presentation of MEDem #Meteor from the recent DGPuK Jahrestagung 2024 DGPuK Methoden panel on tools and resources in a blog: methodslab.weizenbaum-institut.de/2024/05/14/con… It's a great list, recommend browsing through it!
#ica24 Yesterday, Matthew Weber and I found the perfect spot to prepare ICA Comp Methods’s Business Meeting. After two years of chairing the division I happily hand over to him today. 😊🤝 It’s been an honor to serve such a vibrant and supportive research community!!!
If you haven't seen our APSA & ICA Political Communication Divisions panel "Trusting, Criticizing, and Avoiding News Media," you can still do so in the International Communication Association app! Thanks to the organizers for the hybrid option💻 Hopefully we will also see hybrid panels at #ica2025 in Denver! #ica2024

Before we take a (longer? ;-)) summer break, we discuss the concept of credibility and its special role in misinformation and disinformation with the wonderful Dr. Cuihua (Cindy) Shen in the final episode of season 2. You can listen in here: t1p.de/79g3a
End of an era: As of this morning, crowdtangle, the Meta platform many researchers and journalists used to study public accounts on Facebook and Instagram, is officially dead. #RIPCrowdtangle In this 🧵I'll highlight some of the spectacular #polcomm work done with CT. 1/n
Grateful for the opportunity to present my work European Consortium for Political Research General Conference in Dublin! #ecprgc24 Political Communication
With Matteo Magnani we proposed a special issue on network polarisation. There is a lot of amazing research going on and it would be nice to have it all connected together. Deadline for submissions: March 31 2025, abstracts as expressions of interest: Oct. 31 2024.
My suggestion for the weekend: Relax a bit, have a good coffee/tea, then: write 400-500 words on AI and disinformation, submit the abstract for our special issue JMCQ (SEP 1). It's going to be a great weekend ;-) Reposts most welcome! Michael Hameleers Dr. Daniela Dimitrova (@profdimitrova.bsky.social) 👇
