Subtle, I like it

#FontsOnFriday at the church of St Mary Magdalene, Duns Tew, Oxfordshire. Reassuringly solid yet handsome C12th tub font has chevron decoration and band of arches enclosing trefoils. And in the background, right, not a fire extinguisher, but a cone, glowing in the gloom!

Holy Trinity, Bracknell, had all its ducks in a row for Heritage Open Day. Bunting at the lychgate & this inestimable line-up of cones on the North side of the church. I'd guess those are original Victorian tiles too. But what are these orderly plastic stalwarts guarding?
