Researchers from #CpgSthlm, Edana Lord, Amanda Lindahl & Love Dalén, have been helping out with excavations in Atapuerca, Spain. Always good to learn how much work is behind fossil collections! Huge thanks to Carmen NL, Mª Pilar Alfaro-Ibáñez, Asier GómezOlivencia & others for hosting us!

Just for fun, we tried combining one of our Wrangel Island photos with the Generative AI Fill function in Adobe Photoshop to illustrate a woolly mammoth on the beach. We are not impressed, but we are most definitively entertained! 😂 More about Wrangel 🦣: cell.com/cell/fulltext/…

Yesterday, our team from #CpgSthlm recovered a 2-metre lake bottom sediment core from Nares Land on northern Greenland (82 deg N). The project is part of the #GEOEO Expedition organised by SvenskPolarforskning, and aims to study Greenland’s prehistory using ancient DNA.
