The 1st week of my 45 days retreat in Bali is almost complete and so far it's been as good as advertised here on indie X, if not even better. Especially in the south, where I'm staying, which feels much calmer. The work+health vibe is striking, with every café filled with people

Quick tip for AI indie hackers, maybe the most useful chrome extension: Google Scholar PDF Reader. I can’t read a paper without it anymore. Full “night” mode, papers library management, and more importantly, automatic inline references preview 😌

"Ok, looks like I need a queue mechanism for these GPU jobs" “Be smart, just make the simplest version this time” “No really, promise you won't over-engineer it” 24h later.... 😩💀

Same here! Claude's coding abilities, even with recent versions of fairly niche libraries, are incredible. For coding tasks, it has completely replaced ChatGPT/Copilot Chat for me.

Just realised that I’ve replaced almost all the main tools of my dev stack over the last year 😮 I would have 100% bet otherwise 1 year ago, since I wasn’t looking for any replacements. In most cases, the switch was motivated by a single issue/feature: better AI (Anthropic
