He was an elite v-ball player in high school. He strongly considered a pro volleyball career path but obviously NBA money had too much gravity. Bud dealt w/ major knee issues while in the league and especially w/ the Minnesota Timberwolves. When healthy, which was rare, he could ball!

Dave Benz NBA Minnesota Timberwolves Yeah exactly. I'm just saying he took a decade off of beach volleyball to play a different sport then came back and was instantly one of the best in the world.

What must of us wouldn’t give to have that amount of athleticism!!

When I first started watching… great question. John Riggins in football Erich Santifer in basketball But Graig Nettles in baseball was my favorite athlete overall when I became sports aware. 😳

I don’t display much sports memorabilia but Willie Mays is the exception. He signed the ball as a gift for my dad’s 80th bday; which I framed w/ a pic of my dad, my son & myself next to Willie’s statue. I was lucky enough to have met Willie a few times. What a man! What a life!
