Sad to hear about the passing of Neil Stanley aged 56 who I didn't know well but remember his talent as an up and coming player. first played against him for RGS Worcester against Bedford Modern. My thoughts are with his family and friends Northamptonshire CCC

Young players need more help to stay on the cricket shop window. Restrictions to counties is killing their opportunity. You don't become a cricketer at 18. it's a maturing sport yet our system stops at 18. I am not sure I would have got through this system Sky Sports Cricket BBC Sport

For the record Josh Hull was encouraged and supported by me to play cricket. He has taken his chances, introduced to Leicestershire CCC 🦊 by Ali maiden, the ambition, hardwork over the last 18 months and support by Leicestershire CCC 🦊 notedly Daffy and Jigar is what got him to this point
