Ding ding ding!!! It only took 4 innings for Rea to give up double digit runs. I smell a position player or two pitching tonight.

I’d personally like to congratulate ESPN and DIRECTV for wasting 2 weeks on a pointless pissing match that benefited nobody. Both are greedy bastards and I hope the leaders of both find karma can be unkind.

In 1989 3rd ranked Miami came to Camp Randall. Badgers led 3-0, then lost 51-3. Today, 4th ranked Alabama came to Camp Randall. Badgers led 3-0. With Van Dyke out at QB, I fear this one could be almost as ugly. Thankfully Don Morton is not on the UW sideline.

It would behoove Wisconsin to get a quality quarterback before the rematch in Tuscaloosa next September. At this point I would settle for Alex Hornibrook level.

Tough night for Philly fans. Brewers beat Phillies, and Eagles with a horrible choke/puke up the lead in the final minute to lose to the Falcons.

In the 25 years of this century (2000-2024) the Brewers, Packers and Bucks have combined for 24 division titles. That is a lot of winning for this state in the major pro sports leagues. The only smudge on the ledger: just 2 championships in that span.

Dan Needles (@dneedles12) 's Twitter Profile Photo

In that same span the 4 Chicago teams in those 3 sports (MLB, NFL & NBA) have combined for 17 division titles and 2 championships. Minnesota: 16 division titles, 0 championships. Detroit: 11 division titles, 1 championship.

Finally saw “Just a Bit Outside” about the 1982 Brewers. Fantastic! Must see for Brewers fans, especially from my age group. Enjoyed hearing the voices of former colleagues Tom Sutton and Mike Miller. Brought back so many memories. I remember where I was for each key moment.>

3 things I was surprised weren’t mentioned in “Just A Bit Outside.” 1) The Trade that brought Fingers, Vuckovich and Simmons from St. Louis. That set up 2 year playoff run. 2) Ned Yost’s improbable GW HR in Boston in game 158 to give them a 3 game lead with 4 to play>

Dan Needles (@dneedles12) 's Twitter Profile Photo

That was Yost’s only HR in 1982. 3) Marshall Edwards catch in game 5 of ALCS to preserve 1 run lead. However, it was such a fantastic documentary. It also brought back a bad memory: I was offered tickets to game 4 of ALCS but turned them down to hang with my buddies>

At my high school homecoming football game. I assumed they would be back there the next year. Next Year took 26 years…
