Student evals came in. They usually induce anxiety as my class covers hot button issues. Multiple students mentioned me wanting to see every student succeed and that my classroom felt like a safe place to discuss and ask questions. I'm thankful that came across loud and clear

Dr Lisa Bowleg emailed me today to let me know we had used the word “intersectionality” 22 times in this paper. I think she was happy about that.

Would anyone want to submit an Society for Personality and Social Psychology roundtable for an inter-generational LGBTQ panel discussion? Please hit my line if you’re interested (and don’t steal my idea❤️)!

Negative intergroup contact has a stronger impact on increasing prejudice than positive contact has on reducing it, highlighting a significant negativity bias in human interactions. h/t Mark Rubin

We have some new work out on the Marshmallow Test, led by Jessica Sperber (she/hers). We followed up on our 2018 paper and extended predictions to adulthood. We did not find many effects across a bunch of adult outcomes... 1/3

Yes! Taking a week of real-time away from work was helpful for my stress levels and mental health. It doesn’t have to be a fancy vacay. A week of good sleep and doing whatever rec non-work activity you enjoy is worth it. I came back recharged and excited about my work again.
