Our ED Dr Kansiime Michael takes yoghurt live on TV West Nehinda in a bid to increase milk consumption in the country.

Dr Kansiime Michael to farmers: The quality of milk you produce will determines the price on the market. The process also matters. You need to be clean during milk production & transportation. The regional June Dairy month 2021 today themed Quality and Safe milk for Health and Wealth started this morning with a launch of clean milk production at our South western office by Our ED Dr Kansiime Michael and Regional manager South Western by handing over Milk cans to farmers.

This occasion was initially supposed to be in June but was postponed to today due to the recent Covid situation. Promotion of milk consumption and clean milk production are the main reasons for the campaign

As part of the Corporate social responsibility(CSR), our ED Dr Kansiime Michael together with mayor Mbarara city handed over boxes of milk products for the children and Maternity ward at Mbarara regional referral hospital in the bid to increase milk consumption.

Today, our ED Dr Kansiime Michael signed an MOU with Ugandan Fintech Emata to support and develop the dairy sector. The MOU will see DDA and Emata partner to roll out Emata’s digital solution to Dairy cooperatives across Uganda. This will help to monitor milk pdn and increase finances.

The collaboration between DDA and Emata aims to digitize the dairy sector to allow better monitoring of milk production and increased access to finances.

It was pleasant to be served with Lato Butter and Jesa Yorghurt ( our Ugandan milk products) on Uganda Airline flight, our bird.

The Cabinet Sec of Industralisation, Trade and Enterprise dev't of Kenya Gov't Hon.Betty C.Maina has said " Non trade barriers that hinder our trade between Uganda and Kenya come up because both countries produce same products" it is important to look beyond the EAC market.

Hon Dr.Bright Rwamirama on #agricbusinesssymposium in Mombasa emphasised that trade should be based on demand, supply and standards of goods and services not barriers and restrictions. It is illogical when citizines have scarcity when there is plenty in neighboring country.

ED accompanied by southwestern team visited Rwankyekye farm in Bumbaire s/c bushenyi Prodn is 70 litres from 5 milking cows. ED rewarded farmer with a 50 litre milk can. The farmer appreciated ED for the visit and noted that ED was the first govt official to visit the farm

ED also visited Pearl Dairy farm MCC in Nyakabirizi trading centre. It collects 2000 litres from 53 farmers, milk farmgate price is Ugx 1300 per litre. Average milk density was 1.029

Today SWR team with ED visited Kabeihura farmers Ltd in Bushenyi. ED handed over a milk can gifted to Mr.Kabeihura during the inauguration of the board. This farm produces over 600 lts of milk per day and all of this is processed into Yoghurt on the farm

Today we had a reconciliatory meeting between Nyahaita cooperative and Karengo cooperative. Their long standing contention about the Milk cooler at Karengo was solved. Thanks to the wisdom and guidance of MOSAI Hon.Dr. Rtd. Lt.Col. Rwamirama who sent me to reconcile the two coops

ED together with EDTS team and graduands after graduation of stakeholders trained in Yoghurt Production.Some of their products were displayed by ED during his closing remarks.
