In continuation of our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, meet Ellen Ochoa. She became the 1st Hispanic woman to go to space serving on the nine-day mission aboard the space shuttle Discovery in 1993. She has flown in space four times, logging nearly 1,000 hours in orbit.

En nuestra celebración del Mes de la Herencia Hispana, conozcan a Ellen Ochoa, la 1era mujer hispana en ir al espacio sirviendo en la misión de 9 días a bordo del transbordador espacial Discovery en 1993. Ha volado al espacio cuatro veces, registrando casi 1,000 horas en órbita.

Roberto Clemente fue un jugador de béisbol puertorriqueño que jugo en ligas mayores y se convirtió en el primer hispano en ingresar al Salón de la Fama del Béisbol. No sólo es recordado por su desempeño y representación en el campo, sino también por su historial humanitario.

Roberto Clemente was a Puerto Rican professional baseball player who became the First Hispanic inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He is not only remembered for his performance and representation on the field, but for his humanitarian record.
