They'll tell you voting doesn't make a difference. But it was a Labour Government that changed my life. If you want change, vote for it on Thursday.

Great to see James Timpson Appointed Minister for prisons. Someone who really understands the impact of imprisonment and the need for reform.

Delighted #HillsboroughLawNow will be included in #KingsSpeech on Wednesday. We will continue working with the Gov & cross-party MPs to ensure a Duty of Candour for individuals and equal public funds. theguardian.com/politics/artic… 👏👏👏❤️

Delighted to see the King’s Speech included a commitment to introduce a duty of candour for public servants. This is a tribute to the many bereaved and others who have campaigned for a Hillsborough Law over the years. Now to argue the wording!

On the morning of the Covid Inquiry report this photo of the Covid Memorial Wall taken last night from the House of Commons terrace is a reminder of lives tragically -many unnecessarily- lost to Covid. I think of them today.

The report from Module 1 was released this morning. While unsurprising it was still shocking to see in print the catastrophic failings of successive governments to plan for a pandemic . You have to wonder what else has the gov’t not planned for?

I am proud to have voted this eve for a King's Speech that includes a #HillsboroughLaw. Earlier today I also paid tribute to families, survivors & campaigners who have fought for this law to ensure that the suffering of those affected by Hillsborough is never repeated. #JFT97

I welcomed today’s update from Nick Thomas-Symonds on the government’s response to the Infected Bloody Inquiry. Sadly, this is not the only scandal where the state has failed its citizens. The Horizon Post Office Scandal. Hillsborough. The scandal of British child migration schemes.

My update on the Infected Blood scandal. We are committed to acting on Sir Brian Langstaff’s Inquiry findings - including paying compensation to those infected & affected by this. We are determined to tackle the ‘institutional defensiveness’ that has denied people justice.

At the Liverpool anti-far right counter protest with Polly Smythe, who is live reporting. This is Pat and her comrade who say they've been "fighting Nazis since the 70s" & can't believe we've "got to a point again where racists are notifying people about when they will turn up".

As rumours swirl of Downing Street fireworks involving the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Sue Gray, we’ve found a rare television interview she gave to BBC Northern Ireland’s Gareth Gordon in 2021: #newsnight
