🧵 Stark: The Fear in a Hero’s Heart [Thread]

Whereas Fern adopts the pragmatism of Heiter and the cold temperament needed to combat demons from Frieren, Stark is a fusion of Himmel and Eisen. Stark shares Himmel’s kind heart without any of his ego. The humility he shares with Eisen keeps Stark grounded and selfless.

I believe that Stark is the true hero the legends spoke of. For all of his flaws and humble talk about appreciating the journey, not the destination, Himmel is used as a saintly, moral compass. Yet Stark’s humility makes him a more selfless hero than Himmel ever could be.

Stark is a Good Samaritan. He goes out of his way to help people not out of monetary gain or personal glory, but because it’s the right thing to do.

I wouldn’t say Himmel lacked fear shown by his talk with Eisen when the were about to fight their first dragon but I agree with the message.
