Saw the other day Sainsbury's has ”committed to remove all black plastic packaging from own-brand products by March 2020” Their CEO is talking the talk but they need to act now. WHY are your pizzas on black poly trays, Sainsbury’s?
Why do multipacks of school shirts need so many wretched bits of #plastic? Replace with card or just get rid! Doesn’t stop you needing to iron them 🙄 What a waste. These from George at Asda, but many other brands equally guilty
Thanks Packaging Watching - keep up the pressure on Amazon - I just signed the petition at chng.it/N69FVtM4 , every little helps
Sainsbury's yet again no loose mushrooms today, this happens a lot and black #plastic mushroom trays are so unnecessary and impossible to recycle. More unpackaged ones please.
100s of crisp packets taking over my kitchen again before boxing up to send to @TerraCycleUK - shame that volunteers are left to organise the collection of waste from Walkers Crisps, not surprising such a tiny % gets recycled - we need a better solution!
Today we’ve disclosed our full plastic footprint - it’s horrific. Every business should now follow & government should make it law. As we say in business: “You can’t manage what you can’t measure”. It’s time to be honest. #OnePlasticFootprint My Blog 👉🏻 about.iceland.co.uk/2020/09/15/pla…
Just listening to latest episode of Dare to Repair - definitely recommended for anyone who hates our current throwaway culture thanks Mark Miodownik bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…
Hey Sainsbury's why do your 'eco' refills so often get sold at a stupid price which is more £ per gram than the big glass jars? No incentive to choose the option with less #packaging Refills should always be cheaper than the alternative, they cost you less to transport after all!
