Terms of Reference for the #UNTaxConvention adopted - 110 votes to 8!

BREAKING: 110 countries voted in favor of the final draft terms of reference for the #UNTaxConvention. The only countries to vote against it were the U.S., U.K., South Korea, New Zealand, Japan, Israel, Canada and Australia.  44 countries abstained.

Drafts TORS adopted! Despite the call to reject the TORs by the United States only 8 countries voted against the TORs. Huge congratulations to the Africa Group 🙌🏾

The resistance towards the #UNTaxConvention is crumbling. In November 2023, 48 countries voted against - now we're down to 8! It's rapid progress. But in the future, we expect all countries - incl. OECD ones - to vote yes to the outcomes of the negotiations they participate in.
