The Rutland Fountain - now no longer a fountain, in the Dublin tradition - was built on Merrion Square in 1792 by the Dublin Paving Board, commemorating the popular Lord Lieutenant, Charles Manners, who died in 1787, aged just 33. It was conserved by Dublin City Council in 2008🧵
