🥳 Happy to report some funding success! 🥳 I'll be running a 2yr mixed-methods project on allomothering in middle childhood and adolescent outcomes, using Children of the 90s! I'll be looking for a postdoc with experience of cohort data analysis who is keen to develop/learn qual methods 😊

I wrote a quick letter to The Economist (in response to their recent cover story on IQ). I called my piece 'IQ is Stupid'. They removed my title (of course), but they did publish my letter

“The past” was not a homogenous place (at least regarding family demography.) You cannot say that “everyone got married as teenagers” in “the past.” Some did. Many did not. Age at marriage varied meaningfully across place and time, just like it does today.
