It’s handkerchief time!!! The handkerchief tree in the Italian garden is in full bloom.The white 'petals' are called bracts and are actually leaves rather than flower petals. #HighburyPark

Some of you may have noticed the proliferation of baby oak trees near the main entrance from Shutlock Lane. These have grown from acorns buried by the jays that frequent the park. I think there could be a forest springing up in years to come.😀
