It was a great honour and privilege to be present in the Royal Square yesterday to welcome the King and Queen to Jersey, and to re-affirm our loyalty to the Crown. The island gave Their Majesties a very warm welcome, and we didn’t let the weather stop what was a great day. 🇯🇪🇬🇧

Chief Minister Dep. Lyndon Farnham and External Relations Minister Deputy Ian Gorst then met Tulip Siddiq MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury & City Minister, alongside Isle of Man Chief Minister. Discussions included the role Jersey's financial services industry can play in supporting UK economic growth.

The Moneyval Report published today confirms that Jersey’s finance industry has a high level of compliance with global standards. This independent review shows that Jersey is a responsible & cooperative international finance centre supporting legitimate growth & prosperity. 1/3

Moneyval has found that Jersey is Compliant or Largely Compliant with 39/40 Recommendations. Few jurisdictions achieve this high level of compliance. I’m grateful for the hard work of colleagues in Government of Jersey, States of Jersey Police, Law Officers, JerseyFSC, & industry Jersey Finance 2/3

We’ll continue to uphold high international standards of regulation & have already started implementing recommendations from the review. This is a strong base from which to grow & develop the industry further, enhance our competitiveness & meet the needs of our global clients 3/3
