Ce fut un plaisir d’être reçu par M. Lassine Dembele, ministre de l’Agriculture du #Mali, & mieux connaître les plans de Ministère de l'Agriculture du Mali dans le domaine de sécurité alimentaire. Le PAM restera engagé aux côtés du gouvernement afin d’atteindre la #FaimZero

Here are my concluding observations and thoughts from spending one week in the #Sahel & takeaways from visiting World Food Programme programmes in #Niger & #Mali. It is not time to be complacent - it is time for action!

🇲🇱 En marge du Festival du Chant des Linguères de Coumba Gawlo organisé à Bamako, WFP Mali a présenté son programme d’alimentation🍚scolaire en appui au Gouvernement du MALI & son impact dans l'amélioration de la nutrition des élèves & le % de rétention & leurs résultats à📚l'école.

#Mali🇲🇱WFP Mali hosted its inaugural donor meeting of the year, showcasing key accomplishments from 2023 to strategic partners & outlining plans for 2024. They discussed ways to continue to deliver vital assistance to food-insecure people and help communities build resilience.

🇲🇱 Excellents échanges entre notre Rep, M. Eric Perdison & SEM Antonio Guillén Hidalgo, nouvel ambassadeur du royaume d'Espagne 🇪🇸 au #Mali. Lors de ce 1er contact, ils ont discuté d'une synergie d’actions pour contribuer à renforcer la résilience des communautés vulnérables.

In our #WomenForFoodSecurity series, we present Violeta GARCIA from 🇪🇸 Spain. ✨She is a member of WFP Mali Partnerships team, supporting resource mobilization🤝efforts so that our emergency🍚and resilience🌾👩‍🌾portfolios can help reach as many people in need as possible in 🇲🇱.

Our Rep, Eric Perdison, made a courtesy call to the new Canadian ambassador, HE Nicolas Simard, with whom he had a great discussion. The World Food Programme knows it can count on the unfailing🤝support of Development Canada to contribute to building the resilience of vulnerable communities in 🇲🇱 #Mali.

Thank you Canada au Mali et au Niger for the partnership, be it for emergency food and nutritional🍚assistance, support for UN Humanitarian Air Service to transport humanitarian workers & cargos, or support for the integrated resilience programme, including school📚feeding, notably to empower💪🏾girls👧🏾and women.

#Mali🇲🇱 Our Country Director Eric Perdison, had a productive meeting with H.E. Amb Hideki Uezono, expressing gratitude for 🇯🇵 support. Mr Perdison emphasized the importance of strong partnerships🤝to improve #foodsecurity & support #resilience programmes for vulnerable communities.

#Mali🇲🇱 Signature of a new partnership agreement between Coopération suisse au Mali & World Food Programme to support UN Humanitarian Air Service operations✈️. This multi-year contribution of CH 3.5 million🇨🇭 will enable humanitarian & development actors to reach vulnerable communities, especially in the north & central regions.
