Speakers Lucy Duckworth and Fay Maxted of The Survivors Trust discuss ‘trauma-informed’ organisations, looking at maternity and health. Fay says "Being trauma informed means understanding, recognising, and responding to the effects of trauma, not the trauma itself"

.**Chris Tuck MAAT ACMA CGMA** and Sheila Coates spoke to delegates on the importance of language with regards to child sexual abuse. Sheila said "Using the wrong language silences survivors - adults and children.”

In a panel session, our Chair, Simon Bailey said that CSA is not seen as a public health priority. May said “It’s a fear of [a dedicated child protection agency] costing too much, it’s the fear of it being too big of a problem. I think the people in power are afraid of it"

Starting conversations with young people about nudes can be daunting and nerve-wracking. It doesn't need to be. Our research helped inform this campaign, full of information about how to start these critical conversations. 👇
