Something I’ve learned in Congress: We agree on more than enough to secure the border. But solving the problem would obsolete a bunch of attack ads, so it’s not going to happen.

This is my opponent for Attorney General. He immediately dismisses 34 unanimous verdicts by a jury as “rigged.” He’s never been a prosecutor - and it shows. Disagreeing with a jury is one thing, but saying the whole thing is rigged is dishonest and destructive.

Whoever did this must be held fully accountable. Political violence indelibly stains countries. It must always, always be rejected. Our sincere appreciation to the Secret Service, and may our former president recover quickly and fully.

Outstanding news that Evan Gershkovich and Paul Whelan are finally being released from Russian captivity and coming home. To be clear: Putin took those Americans hostage and used them as leverage. He's a simple thug, and no one should pretend otherwise.

The Supreme Court just opened a loophole that basically allows for the bribery of politicians. I’m filing a bill to close that loophole, and asking my fellow members of Congress to join me. Seems pretty obvious, hope we can move fast.
