I see a lot of people calling to ban wind turbines to save the eagles. Funny how they don’t seem to be that concerned about lead hunting ammunition, above ground distribution lines, removing roadkill from highways, or poaching.

At $0.095/W and 400W panels, that's $38/panel. Panels are 20 sq ft, so under $2/sq ft. Cheaper than many building materials: tile, wood flooring, windows, roofing shingles, dimensional lumber. I have been anti-BIPV for yrs. Now I say - just build everything out of solar panels.

Vertical space is the most wasted resource in cities. You can have more people and more space per person and you literally just have to build up. 1 story -> 2 stories - twice as much space. 3 stories - 3x as much space. I cannot comprehend how people can be opposed to this.
