UPDATE: MPD stated that during a foot chase, an individual placed a gun into a storm drain while fleeing. During the recovery process the firearm discharged striking the officer. The suspect got away.

STABBING: MPD is on the scene investigating a stabbing with an adult male transported conscious & breathing from the 1500 block of Marion Barry Ave S.E after suffering NLT stab wounds.

DOUBLE OVERDOSE: 2400 Bl. OF MLK JR AVE S.E: Dcfd was on the scene tending to a patient who overdosed when another patient at the same location overdosed as well. Both patients will be transported to area hospitals.
