OpenAI is hiding o1's true thoughts for competitive reasons. TBF, this isn't news. OpenAI said that during the release. :-) The other reasons they spoke about are below:

o1-preview works for voice mode. But has anyone tested it with advanced voice mode? I'm on Android. After this screenshot I tried the strawberry question with o1-mini and it said 2 in the same session. 🤷‍♂️ Note, the "story" came from me not saying "strawberry" clearly enough.
