Vito Arujau wins two-straight over Marcus Blaze - 2-1 & 3-1. Arujau is back on the world team and will look to repeat as 61 kg world champ!

Areana Villaescusa wins a wild one over Amanda Martinez, 9-8 to make the world team at 55 kg. I believe this is Villaescusa's first world team at any age level.

Brady Koontz wins two straight to make the world team at 55 kg. This is Koontz's second straight senior world team - he went 1-1 last year at Worlds.

Jacarra Winchester wins two straight to make the world team at 59 kg. She has now made an Olympic team and 5 world teams at 3 different weights - 53, 55, and 59 kg.

Macey Kilty makes her second consecutive world team at 65 kg! Kilty won world silver last year - an obvious medal favorite this year.

Kylie Welker beats a very good Yelena Makoyed in 2 straight matches to make the world team at 72 kg. This is Welker's second senior world team - she failed to palce at 2021 Worlds when she was just 17 years old. Welker's a medal threat this year and I think she can win gold.

Tough squad for Iran...gold medal threats at 70, 79, and 92. I don't really view Momeni as a threat to Vito but we'll see

Ildar Hafizov makes the world team at 63 kg for Team USA. This is Ildar's 8th senior world team to go along with 2 Olympic teams
