At an event last night for the Central Campus automotive technology program, examples of student projects were on display. One star of the show was this restoration of a 1978 Des Moines Police squad car.

For years, a Shelby Cobra kit car has sat in the automotive technology center at Central Campus. Now, senior Natasha Harwell is getting it ready to hit the streets. One of her instructors, Kevin Moravek, says her "work ethic/attitude towards this project has blown me away."

It is always one of the most popular events of the school year: the Central Campus Fashion Show. We stopped by last night's show in the school auditorium - which felt more like the fashion runways of Paris or Milan - in order to share a look. See more at flic.kr/s/aHBqjBoM3B

The 23-24 school year has come to a close & so has my time Central Campus. What an amazing 5 years! I’ve learned how to be a better leader & better understand the need for shifting the K12 experience for students. But I’m not retiring, just rewiring! Happy summer!
