Busy campus days are back. Everybody looks happy and is excited to be back. Tourists take photos of the school’s building during summer, and students do the same during term time. I take photos when I spot something unusual.

Tell me students are back without telling me students are back. Heterogeneous preferences don’t apply here, everybody loves pasta.

Another fascinating lecture organised by Cambridge Philosophical Society “The quiet AI revolution in weather forecasting” by Richard Turner. I think it’s still fun when it starts snowing ‘unexpectedly’ though.

Great panel discussion happening at the St Edmund’s College on the topic of relationship between humans and AI. Perspectives on who controls AI, ethical applications of AI in medicine, sustainability of AI etc. A lot to consider while focusing on the benefits.

During my PhD, when presenting my work on central bank communication, focusing on the value of policymakers' speeches, it was common to receive the question, “But we have fan charts; why do we need an additional tool?” This book provides various insights into that question.

I have benefited a lot from this mentoring programme. Nora has been an incredibly helpful mentor. Consider applying either as a mentor or a mentee for the next round. I am sure you will gain a lot and have a fantastic experience.
