While waiting to meet Lynelle Howson 🇪🇺🏳️‍🌈 at #Perth Cemetery I took the opportunity to visit some of the graves being worked on by the amazing Friends group Friends of Jeanfield & Wellshill. At the beginning of the row is the Campbell family headstone. Perth Academy/ FP Alexander Campbell is commemorated by Commonwealth War Graves.

#OTD in 1942, the artist Eric Ravilious died when the aircraft he was in was lost off Iceland. He was the first British war artist to die on active service in World War II. He is commemorated by us @cwgc Chatham Naval Memorial as his body was never found.

As a teacher, you’re sometimes privileged to witness life moments. I saw a girl approach a boy to ask if he wanted her number. He paused, then pulled out his phone. Utter joy on the girl’s face. I then confiscated the phone as it’s against rules to have it out in the corridor.
