Latest paper of the year with the incredibles Mathias Dezetter Olivier Lourdais Ecophy CEBC. We report a case of behavioral #hydroregulation sensu stricto and how it mitigates costs of water deprivation in a #snake 🐍 #oecologia link.springer.com/article/10.100…
Snakes select wet microclimates to mitigate the stress of summer drought🐍🥵 Thanks to @INEE_CNRS for highlighting our recent study with Mathias Dezetter and Jean-François Le Galliard 🦎🇺🇦 Ecophy CEBC CEBC/ChizéLab Project funded by ANR Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Sentinellesduclimat
Great work with lead authors Mathias Dezetter Olivier Lourdais !
We made the cover of the #Oecologia Springer Ecology February issue with a stunning photography of a basking asp viper by the inimitable Matthieu Berroneau. The study was led by Mathias Dezetter and Olivier Lourdais Ecophy CEBC with our iEES Paris lab.
Our study on hydroregulation in vipers made the cover of #Oecologia This work was carried at CEBC/ChizéLab using climatic chambers to simulate summer drought. Thanks to Matthieu Berroneau for the incredible picture. Study conducted by Mathias Dezetter in collaboration with Jean-François Le Galliard 🦎🇺🇦
Excited to share the latest #Oecologia Springer Ecology journal cover featuring our research on hydroregulation in vipers, with a stunning picture from Matthieu Berroneau Sentinellesduclimat! Continued monitoring and capacity building is crucial for success in conservation, and for trust among researchers and local community members. AmazónicosXAmazonía Mathias Dezetter
New paper out in Journal of Experimental Biology ! This was one of the major questions of my PhD: can insectivorous lizards get water from their food? Some answers here: doi.org/10.1242/jeb.24…
Thanks to Comité français de l'UICN and Agence Française de #Développement (AFD) 🇫🇷 🇪🇺 for the invitation Collaboration and exchanges between researchers and local communities leading their own projects can contribute to both conservation and sustainable development Nature Conserv'Action
Back from 1month of fieldwork in Prek Prasab and Sambor Wildlife Sanctuaries along the Mekong in Cambodia! Participatory inventories, conservation and collaboration with local communities and a great pluridisciplinary team of researchers from BINCO ;WWF in Cambodia WWF-Belgique

Really happy that I had the opportunity to contribute to the Hydroregulation symposium at #WCH10 today! Discover more about this study on behavioural hydroregulation led at Ecophy CEBC with Olivier Lourdais and Jean-François Le Galliard 🦎🇺🇦 iEES Paris link.springer.com/article/10.100…
Check out our work in the Ivory Coast with Nature Conserv'Action! Connecting local researchers and local communities conserving their forests and territories is key to build up equitable partnerships, where local knowledge can inspire research, and research can contribute to conservation
