Had a wonderful day yesterday attending my first ever @TMHistoryIcons as a trainee teacher. So many amazing and inspiring presentations from history teachers and historians up and down the country! Many, many takeaways for sure, and I will definitely be attending again! 👏🙌

Had a great lesson with Year 10 monitoring the changes and continuities in African-American and women’s lives between 1900s-1940s. ⏰ Absolutely love teaching America - opportunity and inequality at the moment!! 🤩

Anyone know where I can get source material from detailing the role of nuns in medieval England? Planning a lesson about women in Medieval England based around evidence. Struggling to find some that are suitable and accessible for Year 7!

A tiny snippet of my Year 7 lesson on Elizabeth I and the question of marriage during her reign! 💍 To introduce the four suitors, I’ve used the theme of ‘love island’ to make it interactive and engaging 🏝️☀️ I have to say it’s gone down well with the kids and they’ve loved it!
