We are excited to have hosted two officials from the Audit Service of Sierra Leone who visited National Audit Office, The Gambia to learn about its journey in implementing the audit process automation system for SAIs, developed by Afrosai E (A-SEAT).

Our sincere appreciation to the NAO of #Tanzania for hosting us during a recent exchange program and sharing with us about its public sector auditing experience and ICT infrastructure. This will help us enhance our audit processes and ensure data security and integrity.

AG Ceesay met with the Comptroller General of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), to discuss collaboration opportunities between the GAO and NAO on capacity-building, knowledge-sharing and exchange programs in areas of mutual interest. #StrengtheningRelations

We are excited to commence a week-long training for our staff on Risk Assessment & Sampling, with technical support from National Audit Office .The training seeks to strengthen our staff capacity to continue delivering effective and efficient financial audits.

Legal experts are crucial for SAIs in interpreting laws, ensuring compliance, and defending their independence. The Afrosai E and INTOSAI Development Initiative initiative to strengthen legal support within SAIs has legal experts from across the region participating in a workshop this week.

AG Ceesay recently led a team on a courtesy visit U.S. Embassy Banjul to discuss the work of National Audit Office, The Gambia and to explore partnership opportunities for the ongoing strategic #reforms within the NAO.

As part of our stakeholder engagement efforts, we held an interactive session with #Project auditees together with other stakeholders such as the @GambiaAssembly Committee on Projects monitoring, to discuss #audit matters for the realization of the needed audit impact.

The 2nd #INTOSAI Joint Seminar panel, moderated by Ms Meisie Nkau, Afrosai E CEO, looked at the importance of partnering in #SAI #development. Mr. Ceesay, Auditor-General National Audit Office, The Gambia , shared key factors in The Gambia’s success, incl institutionalizing reforms & mgmt commitment.
