Interested in metallo-β-lactamases and their inhibitors? Some interesting findings and conclusions in our latest manuscript led by group members Nicola Wade and @KamaleddinT. Check out the pre-print that just dropped at ChemRxiv! doi.org/10.26434/chemr…
Fresh Monday morning preprint drop! Total Synthesis of the Brevicidine and Laterocidine Family of Lipopeptide Antibiotics. A great collaboration with the group of Stephen Cochrane (Stephen Cochrane, Ross Ballantine) and our own Karol Al Ayed (@AyedKarol). doi.org/10.26434/chemr…
Had the pleasure of hearing Carolyn Bertozzi speak yesterday at Leiden University. I especially enjoyed learning about the excellently named post-translational protein modification known as "Neddylation". I guess my next field of study has been determined for me.
I've just had my first first author paper accepted at ChemBioChem on my improved synthesis of the antibiotic bacitracin A! This allows for the preparation of analogues that can harness bacitracin's unique mechanism of action and fight AMR. …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cb…
