So exciting to see Dr Alessandra Pino's excellent piece about Elizabeth Raffald and her run in with an unruly ghost in Paul Stevenson ❤️👻💙. I won't give anything away, except to say that you would definitely want Mrs Raffald on your side in a scrap.

Whilst at Ludlow Food Festival i discovered the fantastic Artistraw Cider who are making excellent sulphite free, wild fermented cider and perry. I bought a bottle of Pomme-Oh, essentially port-cider. Wonderful stuff. High recommend.
I wrote an article in Daily Express today about fake cakes, cakes posing as other things, & concluded the best ones were made not today but in the Victorian era. Something I touch on in Knead to Know. Rather nuts to have written something for a national paper, I must admit!
Check out these lovely endorsements for 'Knead to Know: A History of Baking' from sam bilton Annie Gray & Ivan Day! If you have enjoyed reading the book please rate and write a review on Goodreads, Amazon.co.uk etc. Each one makes a big difference. Xx
