we are starting an inter-council coordination mechanism to jointly handle all the common issues concerning the medical care in Nepal.

Nepal Medical Council is coming up with a skill based core curriculum for licensing exam purpose, so that fresh graduates from all over the world have something common to work on.

Nepal Medical Council has started a system of declaration of conflict of interest (COI) for its Executive Members. Ethics Committee will look into the COIs and decide if they need to abstain from a particular investigation process.

There seems to be a confusion regarding the fee of CPD of NMC. Let it be known that all the CPD activities of NMC will be provided free of cost to all registered doctors.

Nepal Medical Council is extremely saddened to hear the demise of our former executive member Dr Niraj Pant. We pray for his departed soul and express moral support to the bereaved family to deal with this tragedy.

We started off with training of Executive members of NMC on Ethics. Great to have leaders of nearby hospitals together. CPD committee did a good job.

MOHP has prepared a manual in Nepali for health care workers dealing with Cov-19. Also guidelines for use of PPE is now ready using WHO recommendations as baseline and modified by our expert team.

NMC completed the licensing examination yesterday from 16 centers across the country with strict public health safety measures. All went very well. We thank the administration and security forces for all the support. Good luck to all the candidates.
