Probably my favourite item in #MurderByTheBook, the original manuscript of the final Poirot novel, written in wartime and hidden away until just before Agatha Christie's death. Very moving that something so deceptively fragile has such a powerful history. lib.cam.ac.uk/murderbythebook
This audiobook has been helping me through a few sleepless nights (but have been enjoying the amazing moon too!). Probably my favourite of Nicola Upson 🏳️🌈's Josephine Tey books, despite being very sad, and Sandra Duncan's voice is fabulous.
A Judgement in Stone is an astonishing read. Ruth Rendell tells us everything a crime novel tries to hide in the very first sentence - and yet the whole book is utterly compelling. A real highlight of #MurderByTheBook, on Cambridge University Library until Saturday. lib.cam.ac.uk/murderbythebook
At Cambridge University Library - just in time to catch brilliant exhibition curated by Nicola Upson 🏳️🌈

Henry Wade's 1940 novel Lonely Magdalen was a revelation to me when working on #MurderByTheBook A book of real humanity and a consummate example of championing the victim. And I do LOVE a map! See it Cambridge University Library until tomorrow lib.cam.ac.uk/murderbythebook

Nicola Upson 🏳️🌈 Cambridge University Library Thrilled I got the chance to see it - at the death, as it were. It was busy that day, too, and full of wonders. Congrats and with thanks for all your hard work.
This was a fantastic night, and lots of fun. As usual, Mandy Morton and I completely failed to guess whodunnit. I sometimes wonder if we're in the right job...
The new Rebus play is everything you would want it to be - taut, twisty and incredibly classy. Absolutely loved it. Hope there'll be more, Ian Rankin? On Cambridge Arts Theatre for the rest of this week.
