Folks, we have it straight from CM Riemer's account. He's in FAVOR of residency districts for the "At Large" Members. He just voted against such a proposal... but he's sincere this time! Depending on what happens with Questions D and C... let's revisit this soon!

Still no comment / response from CM Riemer on this simple question, pulled from Nonprofit VOTE ... Similar to how he ghosts neighborhoods he doesn't need to "win" re-election with sub-50%?

Believe approx. $88 million was spent on this race by the challenger? Incumbency is hard to overcome in politics. Local, town, county, city, state-wide or national. This is (one reason) why #TermLimits proved popular in MoCo four years ago.

CM Jawando's Twitter profile reads: "Councilmember representing 1 million+ in Montgomery County, MD." 🤔 Wyoming (Population: 572,381) Vermont (Population: 627,180) District of Columbia (Population: 711,571) Alaska (Population: 735,720) North Dakota (Population: 760,900)

These "At-Large" CMs are truly an incredible bargain for taxpayers if they are "representing 1 million+" (no evidence that they do, but play along). At Large CMs should be making as much or more then Mayor Muriel Bowser if this is the case! They "represent" 250K MORE people then DC.

Really good to see. Maryland's gerrymander of Congressional districts is outrageous. Contains one of the most gerrymandered districts in the Union. Jamie Raskin you once mentioned trying to get a mid-Atlantic compact going and end this practice in MD.

Why not thank the "volunteers" who helped get MoCo For Question C onto the ballot via their "proof of community support" and signature drive during a #pandemic ...? Oh... Oh wait. Forgot that never happened. Question C was just the machine's way of slapping back at grassroots.

This had to be a real challenge for AP. A lot of back-and-forth on whether to make... "the call".

Thanks! Do you support Hans Riemer Nancy Navarro and the modest proposal to have a residency requirement of the At-Large CMs? Seems like a modest proposal. 1 each in each "quadrant" of MoCo. Voted down 5-4 in August. Mr. Riemer seems to now support. 🤔

Correction: adding two district seats to the County Council. To make it a "hybrid" of 7-4 not 5-4 district / At-Large. Yeesh if we were on track to add 2 at-large... a 5-6 council structure... (shudder).
