In his keynote address, Prof. Eizo Takashima, Associate Professor at Ehime University, Division of Malaria Research, explained that antigen expression is crucial in medical research. He noted that current systems struggle to express many antigens at once, especially over 100.

Prof. Takashima revealed that the germ cell-free system (WGCFS), an innovation established at Ehime University about 20 years ago, has proven to be one of the best options for expressing eukaryotic proteins in vitro.
