We're deeply disappointed that the First Minister today failed to deliver the new Human Rights Bill for Scotland in his Programme for Government. We're calling on the Scottish Government to fulfil its long-standing commitment to the people of Scotland. Our statement:

Today’s message from the Scottish Government's Programme for Government that a Scottish Human Rights Bill is not on the agenda nor a priority is deeply disappointing and a breach of trust. The Bill, due to be introduced by June 2024, has been inexplicably delayed again.

When the Good Food Nation [Scotland] Act 2022 was being scrutinised in Parliament, questions were raised on why it did not include the human right to food. The answer? It would be part of a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Human Rights Bill. And now, we have no right to food and no human rights Bill.👇🏻
