I was so worried in July. The bees had eaten all their honey stores after multiple weeks of heat and dry weather. There were no wild flowers. I fed them to help. Now? Fully drawn out heavy honey supers full of light, bright floral nectar turning into honey. I could cry.

Tomatoes, eggs, and milk have the biggest differential in quality when you grow/raise them yourself. Homegrown tomatoes, free range eggs, and raw milk are just leagues better and it’s not even close. What else?

Every year I feel as if I miss the seasons. Over two years building this farm business, diving into country living and getting closer to self sufficiency on the homestead has made them so evidently clear. And each are so beautiful. It’s winter prep time. It’s coming soon.
